COVID-19 - How we are working

Hello,

I hope you and your families are keeping safe and well, and you’re surviving this terrible time in our history. I just wanted to give you a quick update about what I'm doing here at Clarence and Alabama, and answer some questions you might have. Thanks Amy x

How are you operating at the moment?

It is just me (Amy) packing orders, printing labels, receiving deliveries and processing returns. All my stock is in my office which is at the end of our garden!  No one else goes in there and I am being extremely careful with hygiene and thoroughly cleaning everyday. 

How can I get in touch?

You can contact me via amy@clarenceandalabama.co.uk or on whatsapp chat which you can access via our website.  I try to respond as soon as possible between the hours of 8-6pm but I also look after my three children so there might be a delay sometimes

Are you still delivering?

Yes I have decided to re-open after closing for a couple of weeks to process what has been happening and work out whether it was morally OK to be doing this right now.  The fashion industry has been hit so hard, people are not buying clothes to sit around at home in unless it's joggers or pj's but I have lots of wonderful stock that has been made and needs new owners!  The current government's advice encourages online retail.

I am sending out my pink parcels of joy using MyHermes as the courier.  I will be dropping parcels at my local parcelshop everyday (approx 12.30/1pm). 

What’s your returns policy?

 If, due to the current situation, you are no longer able to return your order within our 14 day window please don’t worry – I will be allowing 30 days and if you need more time please do not hesitate to contact me. If you email me with the tracking number then I will process the return sooner. 

What’s your exchange policy?

You can still exchange items, you just need to let me know on the returns form what you wish to exchange for and I will send out the exchange free of charge

How are you making deliveries safe?

The current advice is that it is safe to receive parcels, although we do recommend washing your hands after handling one.

According to the WHO and the Robert Koch Institute, there is no conclusive evidence that an infection with any type of coronavirus is possible through contact with objects or packages, including those arriving from areas where cases have been reported. 

Our couriers suggest you choose a safe place for your parcel to be delivered and you can request a ‘contact-free’ delivery by popping this in the ‘other instructions’ box of checkout or through your tracking information. For more information on how our couriers are working please click on the relevant one.
